 PREMISES This section describes some of the key facilities that are available to our students, to support their work. MKC City College is situated in the centre of the town Larnaca, just a few minutes walk from the sea, the town centre and the bus stations, offering easy access to students. Administration: The office of the College Director is located within the MKC City College building, and is always willing to help and assist you in any major problem. Next to it is the office of the College Secretary and the office of the Administrative Director which deals with the registry and inquires. Photocopy machines, fax and computer services are available to all students here. Conference and Lecturers' Lounge: Personal meetings can be arranged here in great comfort at regular intervals with tutors, if you have anything to discuss regarding your progress or any aspect of your studies. Many students develop good relationships with their tutors and come to see them as friends as well as teachers. Main Lecture Rooms: The lecture rooms are equipped with projectors and a comfortable environment is established to ensure proper methods of education. A wide variety of teaching methods are used to attract students' interests. The rooms are available to the students for the presentation of their projects. They are equipped with a television and video for use by all students in their presentations and by lecturers in lessons when needed. Occupational Counseling Services Centre: Special training programs form part of the College curriculum. Training lasts for an average of four months. All students are supervised by the Centre, and regular reports by the training employers follow up the college reports. In addition, the Centre arranges interviews for job placements with a full occupational guidance service. At present, employment has been secured for about 70% of the graduates. Moreover, graduates are prepared for further studies at universities in the UK and USA. Student Services This is located in our Avensia Branch offices. For any guidance and any other personal problem concerning accommodation, registration process, visas, industrial placement, the friendly staff of this office will always help you find your way in the new College environment. Students' Cafe & Lounge - CITY Lights: The Student Cafe is situated on the second floor of the College. The Cafe in cooperation with the college runs a number of commercial services such as a fast food style cafeteria. Library LEARNING RESOURCES CENTRE Its Organization and Functions: A well stocked library supports study and teaching at the college. Students are assigned library time to complete their projects. The librarian ensures the service and helps to enrich it with new editions. The College library facilities are available to all students regardless of the course they are attending. A Library is an essential part of any teaching and learning program, and students are encouraged to understand how information is organized and to explore the wide range of material available. The library responds to changing informative needs and aims to provide the resources and environment which together make learning effective. In addition to the wide range of books, periodicals and audiovisual materials which are available, there are comprehensive collections of abstracts, bibliographies and other works which assist students in finding materials. Membership: All MKC City College students are entitled to join the library. Technical Equipment:
